Mirror set screws
John,
So, are these also the ones with the defrost? If so, I might be interested in a set since my mirrors are starting to deteriorate as well.

Are these the mirrors with the BB logo on them?

I bought a set of BB mirrors at FMCA for $150.00. Some guy had a bunch. I can call a friend and see if more are available.

So, has anyone had to do battle with the set screws on their mirrors? The PO had the mirrors set to his specifications and it serves my purposes for the most part. But, I wanted to tweak them and was unable to loosen hex screws on the bottom or side. I sprayed the set screws with PB Blaster and let it set overnight. I put a breaker bar on the hex key and was still unable to budge them.

Any thoughts????

Mirror set screws
The best mechanic trick is to PB them, let them sit, warm the knuckle to about 120 degrees gently, let it cool completely, repeat 2 to 3 times then tighten first, then loosen. Gentle persuasion with a SMALL impact wrench forward then backward may help to vibrate the capillary action of the PB.
