Microphor compressor needed

[John Suter]

Interesting that yours is different. The one I've
photographed does a great job and is the model BB has
used in a dozen or so coaches I've seen. Go figure.

Curt & John, you are both correct. The pump itself is the Thomas
405ADC38/12 (I peeled off the Microphor label to get to the Thomas
label) and I have found that Grainger has them for $189. The Microphor
Model 5000 is the pump with 4.5 gal pancake tank and control circuitry.

Although I would like to just get the seals (and still looking), it
seems my tank has some rust or something ratting around in the tank
that makes me want to replace the tank as well.

Still looking for a better deal, but will have to do something soon as
I need to flush the toilet in a few days

Also, the replumbing is on the list as soon as I get an auxilliary
compressor installed. I have one of the few sold without the
compressor, but all the wiring, switches etc are there, just hate
spending $800 for the Gast compressor.

If you find them, I'd appreciate a dozen and would
immediately send you a check. Thomas compressor would
not sell me any a year or so ago - said the complete
unit was considered "disposable" and it wasn't
economically feasible for them to sell the Teflon
replacement cups. Hopefully they have a change of
heart some day.

If the tank isn't leaking, why not simply clean
internally with a rust inhibitor, or volatile solvent?

Good luck, but I could not find any below 200 plus
shipping, over a year ago.

There were a fairly large number of them, I was
told.
