holding tank repair

Yes, I know that I forgot to sign my last post-I'll try to remember...

The previous owner did a horrible job fabricating a sewer hookup and
when it fell apart this week, I was left with a giant hole in my
black water tank. It looks like a bit of work to drop the tanks (I
don't have a stock setup) I was going to try to glue/repair it
myself. Luckily, I had driven past a local outfit that makes tanks.

Anyway, I stopped by there and am sooo glad that I did. They will
make the repair for me (luckily, the damage is quite accessible).
Including a new 3inch fitting, they estimate the cost at between 20
and 40 bucks!

They are very nice there and if you need a tank or a repair in
Southern California, that's where you should go....

I enjoyed talking with you last week. Contact me and stop by with your
coach. Other than one day in SanDiego I plan to be home for the next two
weeks.

For many years now I have used RONCO Plastics for all my tank needs.
They build the the best tanks, and the cost is half or less than
anywhere else. You did good finding them. A few months ago I had them
build me a custom oil change holding tank.

Kerry is correct, I tore the outlet pipe out of the holding tank on a 1982 FC35
years ago and after trying many methods of repair the one that worked was
fiberglass cloth and epoxy. The epoxy/fiberglass fixed worked great and was
still holding fine when I sold the coach a few years latter.
