Creede or Buena Vista Colorado
Hi Wallace and Faye,
We camped in Creede for almost a week a couple of years ago, and my sister-in-law and her husband live there. We really enjoyed it; Creede is a colorful and beautiful mining town largely untouched by commercial development. The small downtown area has small shops and some good restaurants, and they had a surprising number of community and cultural events for such a small town. The area is gorgeous, and when we were there in early August, the days barely hit 70 and the nights were chilly but not cold. If you're looking for lovely scenery and more of an old-time Colorado feel, Creede is great. We've camped all over Colorado, and for scenery and the "real" Colorado, Creede is hard to beat. However, it's pretty remote; if you prefer more developed areas with convenient shopping and other amenities, Creede isn't the place to be. Good travels, Molly |

> > Not wishing to wait to the last minute, we are presently trying to decide about this summers camping. It is pretty much down to Creede or Buena Vista, Co. We know nothing of either place and would appreciate any advise as to the respective areas. I do not wish to rule out other places inColorado; I just am notknowledgeable of other options andmy review of "rv park reviews" and woodall's does not seem to be of much help. Any and all positive suggestions are welcome. > Wallace & Faye > 95 WB42 > Now at South Padre Island Howdy, Wallace and Faye. Jack and I summer in Buena Vista, CO at Valley Mobile RV park. Spacious lots, good power and good water. Lots of fishing within 5 minutes driving time. Small town atmosphere and the altitude is 8000 feet. Located in a valley with beautiful mountain ranges. Average temperatures are in the 70's during the day and in the 50's at night. The park has cook outs and holiday celebrations, and people get together and take day trips to various places. The owners, Don and Sandra , are very accomodating, helpful and friendly. It is a pretty laid back park and has the most REASONABLE rates in the area. We feel very much at home there. Hope this helps. Creede or Buena Vista Colorado
Hi Wallace,
If Breckenridge is on your list look at. http://www.tigerrunresort.com/ I have not stayed there, it has a good reputation with freinds in the Denver area. This park was on my short list for a lot to buy, back when that sounded like a good idea, I still chuckel when I think of your responce to that thread. (No, we didn't receive any perks for this!! ) Oh, one more thing. One doesn't have to travel over any mountain passes to go to Buena Vista. That fact and a recommendation from a SKP friend, led us to Valley Mobile RV park. If you want any additional info, please send me an email.
