Hi Wallace and Faye,
We camped in Creede for almost a week a couple of years ago, and my
sister-in-law and her husband live there. We really enjoyed it;
Creede is a colorful and beautiful mining town largely untouched by
commercial development. The small downtown area has small shops and
some good restaurants, and they had a surprising number of community
and cultural events for such a small town. The area is gorgeous, and
when we were there in early August, the days barely hit 70 and the
nights were chilly but not cold.
If you're looking for lovely scenery and more of an old-time Colorado
feel, Creede is great. We've camped all over Colorado, and for
scenery and the "real" Colorado, Creede is hard to beat. However,
it's pretty remote; if you prefer more developed areas with convenient
shopping and other amenities, Creede isn't the place to be.
Good travels,
Molly
Hi Wallace,
If Breckenridge is on your list look at.

I have not stayed there, it has a good reputation with freinds in the
Denver area.
This park was on my short list for a lot to buy, back when that
sounded like a good idea, I still chuckel when I think of your
responce to that thread. LOL

decide about this summers camping. It is pretty much down to Creede
or Buena Vista, Co. We know nothing of either place and would
appreciate any advise as to the respective areas. I do not wish to
rule out other places in Colorado; I just am not knowledgeable of
other options and my review of "rv park reviews" and woodall's does
not seem to be of much help. Any and all positive suggestions are
welcome.
