Kurt,

I may be interested in your grill & slide. I need to check for
enough room to put it in one of my curb side bays though. Dimensions
are approx.?

Terry,

Here is the responce from Xantrex Customer Serive.

I did buy 2 of these units. They are new in the box and Sun Electric

is an aurthorized dealer so the warrantie should be good.

I spoke with several tech guys and of course got several diffrent

answers. About all aspects of these units.

I was most impressed with a guy from Buddy Gregg Motorhomes in

Knoxville TN. Wayne Clapp a veteran BB Tech. His first question was

did I plan on keeping the coach? Well of course. Then you must get

these inverters out of the engine compartment and into one of the

bays. So were are going the reinvent the wheel. Not really a problem

the old compartment is really not large enough for the new inveters.

With the inverter box empty I think I'll throw in a couple more

Lifeline gell cells. That will make 8 house batts. Wayne also told me

he can with the addition of a few relays make the AC run on Batts.

With the additional 2 Lifeline's and the 2 new invetrers running off

of 8 Batts. in 2, four Batt. banks I should be able to run 2 AC'S.

The 300 amp alternator should be able to tow the line. I would be

nice to run the roof air with out the generator. Any help in fuel

economy is welcomed.

Any body want to buy a electric grill for their coach? Mine is coming

out, slide and electric components included.

I also bought 2 RC7/GS controlers off of e-bay. The were the best

deal for the $'s.

Dear kurt daniel horvath,

"Can the RC/GS Remote Panel be use in place of the RC7."

No , this will not work properly. You are better off trying to locate

an RC7 by seaching the internet and the many dealers who may have a

NOS unit.

"Is the 24 month warrantie good on these new in the box units?"

If the unit is new in the box and purchased from proper dealer who

purchased it from a Xantrex Distributor than we shall honor the

warranty.

Dear Mr.Nick Klien.

Can the RC/GS Remote Panel be use in place of the RC7.

If so, are there any peculiarities involed or is it just a simple

choice of which control is available.

Yes price is a consideration here the old unites are new and are an

exceptional deal at this time.

Thank You for your time,

Kurt Horvath

Yeh they told me the same thing, they guy in Bombay told me it stood
for Mobile.
After a lot of question and some industrial espionage they m stands
for Monaco. They ordered these units for thier coaches with some
specific software defaults. All of these can be reprogramed with the
control units.
According to Xantrex there are only minor and superfical modifactions
to any of the RV series inverters/chargers, from what I understand
it's mostly the control panels.

RV 3012 M
Terry,

Just to be sure I called Sun Electronics again to verify their status
as a Xanterx dealer and they confirmed that they are a Xantrex dealer.

I would like to get this all done in the next 2 to 3 weeks but if
Icould look into the future, you know what I mean.

I am still working on the engine bay cooling fans and I just got
a '07 DDEC IV ECM with it programing to my coach as a back-up. So
I've got a lot stuff to play with.

RV 3012 M
In my 77FC35 the batteries are at the far left front corner, no space for the inverter in their compartment anyway.

The current battery charger (not an inverter) is about midway back on the left side, same compartment as sewage host storage, probably ten feet from the batteries, doesn't really seem like an optimum location for the Xantrex.

Would I be crazy to put it inside the coach? There's a storage compartment right behind the drivers seat that's probably big enough, and within 2 feet of the batteries.

Another question. The Xantrex hookup diagrams seem to show the batteries directly connected to the 3012, and all coach loads hung behind it. Since I have combined coach and starting batteries in my 77, I don't think I should be running starting current through the 3012?

I was considering pulling the generator, which we never ever use, and filling that compartment with "house" batteries and a more weatherproof box for the inverter... Too whacky?

Hi Dorn,

I picked up one of the 3012's and got the RC7 too. Like you was
curious about the wiring so gave Xantrex a call, they said you can
leave the wiring the way it is, but you loose the ability to measure
the current flow from the batteries. Not a big deal as we have the
shunts on the + side of the batteries.

Terry, have you had any service tech look at your Cruise Airs? My front one works, ok. The mid one needs help. The rear, I gave the compressor to Ralph a few years back when I installed a roof air.

I was considering a split at the batteries to the starter and the 3012 and put everything else behind the 3012, if I can isolate the starter from everything else.

RV 3012 M

Thanks much Kurt. Sounds like you do have a few big projects
underway. I am going to buy one of the RV 3012 Ms & the RC7/GS
remote. Looks like a very good setup & you can't beat the cost for
the RV3012M.

I wonder if I could run one of my ACs on a single 3000 watt? I have
the 3 basement ACs. I only have 2 of the 4D batteries in the back now
to run the house & engine starting. I would need to beef up the
batteries but I can do that by stacking them into the space the
Rediline used to sit in plus build a new shelf above that space. Have
another gen set battery up front.

I would like to get this all done in the next 2 to 3 weeks but if

I am still working on the engine bay cooling fans and I just got

a '07 DDEC IV ECM with it programing to my coach as a back-up. So

I've got a lot stuff to play with.

RV 3012 M
Hello All,
on those Cruise Airs-
Can some one explain to me the system under the bus. I do understand there is a compressor of some sort, and a fan. However being 110V, it must be similar to a "window unit A/C" set up?
Where would one get a compressor serviced that is not coming on, (cooling) is it common, specialty?
Who would work on it, its of course not automotive type?
Expensive (compressors)
One I'm looking at needs work on one, not cooling- fan only blows
Thanks for the insite guys!

Terry, have you had any service tech look at your Cruise Airs? My front one works, ok. The mid one needs help. The rear, I gave the compressor to Ralph a few years back when I installed a roof air.
