Eric, I believe you are correct in saying that the factory liked to hide items. Especially an item that either needs cleaning or rebuilding.

Your challenge will likely be to find your Sporlan Valve. I think BB must of had a special department whose job it was to conceal the location of the Sporland tank fill valve. They did a pretty good job on my bird. I finally found it buried deep in the water pump area of my bus.
