I found this story in the Ventura County Star:

Seems there was some possible road rage involved that cost the man his life. I'm guessing he didn't quite understand or appreciate the 'Rule of Gross Tonnage' involved with large vehicles. Fortunately, I've never hit anyone with my motorhome(s) over the years although I've had quite a few close calls.

Of those close calls, I don't think any of them were intentional (mean spirited) on the other drivers part. I truly think a lot of people don't understand the physics of motion and the stress it causes on us drivers. And, I never tailgate - in fact, I always leave a lot of room in front of me which gives plenty of room for small cars to dart in front.

Anyways, a sad story and unfortunate loss of life. Unfortunately, the driver of the motorhome will have to live with this for the rest of his life.

Drive safe....
