Seems there was some possible road rage involved that cost the man his life.
I'm guessing he didn't quite understand or appreciate the 'Rule of Gross
Tonnage' involved with large vehicles. Fortunately, I've never hit anyone with
my motorhome(s) over the years although I've had quite a few close calls.
Of those close calls, I don't think any of them were intentional (mean spirited)
on the other drivers part. I truly think a lot of people don't understand the
physics of motion and the stress it causes on us drivers. And, I never tailgate
- in fact, I always leave a lot of room in front of me which gives plenty of
room for small cars to dart in front.
Anyways, a sad story and unfortunate loss of life. Unfortunately, the driver of
the motorhome will have to live with this for the rest of his life.

Road rage can be costly to a motorcyclist. I recall an incident in Phoenix some
years ago where a `cyclist abruptly cut in front of a pickup and slammed on the
brakes. There were several witnesses and the driver of the pickup was not
charged but was badly shaken, and as you said will have to live with it.

Thank you for posting this. It's a reality. Not just motor cycles, cars too. Monday about noon, driving 45 miles from my home to the San Onofre Beach Camp Pendleton RV Park, I was cut off by cars and they hitting their brakes as they changed lanes to get in front of me. Glad I have the Jake Brake system as it sure helps to slow the big 'Bird during brake application. I feel very sorry for the motorhome driver. Insurance companies would do good by informing folks to be cautious when jumping in front of big rigs.ÃÂ
