3208 service intervals
That would be fine on the oil change interval. Get the test strips from Cat for
the coolant and keep it sweet. I use the expensive stuff from Napa to treat the coolant. I have the factory engine guide and it is really geared to industrial users. For instance the oil is to be changed every 3 months or sooner according to engine hours. Most of us do not log 300 hours (about 12000 miles) in a 3 month period. Today's manuals for RV engines take this into account and have a more reasonable requirement. I realize the 3208 is not today's technology and extended intervals would not work. I was thinking of every 6 months or 5000 miles. Anyone concur? if not what would you suggest and why? Coolant changes are even worse. Cat suggests every year at minimum.
