Ernie,
I am out of the bird business at least for the time being. One never knows when that bird bug will bite again. I will be at the Lone Star Bird rally in Fredericksburg, Texas on April 5 & 6 in a cabin, but not a Bluebird. I hope you can make it as I always enjoy talking to birders.
Coach was sold to an individual living about four blocks away, so I can still go look at it. I still have Ron’s old toad (the 1988 Mitsubishi Montero) and
have put it up for sale on Craig’s list in Austin. If someone is looking for and economical toad with all the towing accessories needed, have them contact me.
Chet

Yea, sorry to see Chet get out of the bird. Wonder what his plans are?

Hi Ernie,
Yup, she's got new carpet and bamboo flooring compliments of Ernie and Bim. And she's got new tires, new ice maker, new refrigerator, new drapes, new flat screen tv's, new tires, new diesel generator, new rear view camera and a Cat diesel engine that runs like a top through the efforts of Clyde and the boys at Seguin Diesel. These birds keep going as long as you keep putting diesel and $$$ into em. We love her
and plan to keep her for several more years. Usually get some complements when we pull into an RV park. People seem to like the classic looks of these old FC's. Sounds like Chet didn't have any trouble selling his FC recently.

have any of the frills, including goat rail, searchlight, musical horns plus many other things.

My understanding was that you could order options that you wanted on the Wanderlodge II, just like any other Bird, so I assume the original purchaser ordered it with those items. Perhaps Eric will enlighten us further on his Bird.

finding that many people wanted almost all of the options anyway. I've always suspected the real reason was they didn't like dealing with the added complexity on the production line. We've owned this coach since 2000 when we bought it with 65,000 miles on it. It's got 127,000 miles on it now and we still enjoy taking trips in it. The only thing we've added to the coach is a set of musical horns that I took off Rick Archie's wrecked Wanderlodge II.
