Neutral safty switch

Like Ralph said- change out the toggle switch in the engine compartment. Be sure
to use a 30 AMP DPDT switch, not the usual 20-AMP junk that you commonly find at
Wal-Mart. Also, if there are any splices in the small box, open the splice
connections and check for corrosion. Mine would not start at AZ earlier this
fall and it was a corroded switch along with a corroded splice. Try and use the
adhesive-lined heat shrink butt connectors and ring terminals when you rewire
the switch. That should keep the moisture out! You might also coat the new
switch terminals with a nice helping of di-electric grease to postpone corrosion
on the screw connectors. Since replacing the switch, my coach starter "hits"
within a millisecond of turning the key. There used to be a delay of a few
seconds or so. The neutral safety switches rarely fail in the Morse shifter. If
they get weak, you can clean the little ball and spring assembly to assure
better contact.
