Water regulator problem?
Hello and Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

We are in Olympia Washington now and are having a water issue. Been hooked up
to water pressure and heard water outside this morning and it was spewing out
from where hose goes into bus. Turned water off outside and went to pump and
the pump kept running. So, it is the white plastic thing that the hose hooks to
that is leaking. Does anyone know how to start with this problem? Do you do it
from outside or inside? If it is the regulator does anyone know where to get a
new one? Got the mattress up and looked under bed, but looks we may have to
tear some carpet up?? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Did you switch the fill switch back to use or to the use from tank position, down on mine. Changing the fill connector, if it is needed, is done from the inside mostly on mine but it is not plastic. I imagine some PO changed it to plastic. I got mine from Tweetys in FL over the internet. Not the worst job by a long shot and not hard to get to on this coach. I did have to lift some small bit off the carpet to get to the small box that covered the inside part. However, that is going to be different probably on yours.

The pressure regulator in inside the fitting.

First check the tank fill, should be OFF, When using the pump.
also sounds like the hose hook-up connection was leaking,

Water regulator problem?
Robert,

I had the same problem when we had our '90 PT40. The hose came off the inside of
the Regulator/Hose connection. The access to the back of the regulator is tough
to get at without removing the carper and plywood panel next to the bed. BUT,
try this first; remove the regulator from outside and see if it is still
connected to the hose that leads under the bed. If if is, disconnect the hose
under the bed and pull a new, longer piece of hose out through the exterior
regulator hole by connecting it to the disconnected hose under the bed and then
pulling out the regulator and old hose. You can then clamp the new hose to a new
regulator (available at any RV supply store), push it back in and trim and
reconnect. If the old hose is tie-wrapped you may have to pull the carpet on the
vertical panel along side the bed and remove the plywood exposing the back of
the regulator area. If remover carefully, you can put it back without any damage
for an invisible repair.

Water regulator problem?
I had a very similar situation with my very similar coach so I may have some
insight in this if not help. My problem was a hair line crack in that plastic
regulator. It was from freezing over the winter because a little water was left
in the low spot. You will have to remove the carpet and the wood which is next
to the bed, between the bed and the wall. The section which runs from floor up
to the counter that the light would sit on next to the bed. This will allow you
to get to the pipes which run from the fill point into the tank. There are any
number of ways to "fix" this. I used some quick disconnects with a check value
and replaced that plastic piece entirely. It had from my records from the PO
been replaced a couple times. I had to do some modifications to seal up the hole
left where the regulator is fastened to the outside of the bus. I used some
plastic similar to plexiglass but metal would work. Some individual ingenuity is
required but I think if you get some type of one way check valve in there and a
connection of your choice you will be fine. Hope this helps. You do have to get
some of the panels and carpet out of the way to get access. Can't do it
otherwise in my opinion
