Just for future reference, Ace Hardware sells brushes for motors. If they don't have an exact fit, a brush relatively close in size can easily be sanded down to fit.

Grainger sells the entire brush plate for these motors, too. This gives you a
new thermal protection device as well.

Hi John
Thanks for the lead on the brushes at Graingers.
Someone asked me about that the other day and suggested Graingers but wasn't certain.
By the way,the turn signal/wiper/dimmer switch seems to be BB All American school bus.I haven't seen one yet,but I have a trip downtown to see one at the Bus Store.

Fred, at the bus store, see if they have those backup lites folks are asking about. I bet, if the price is right, lots of busses could be upgraded with those bright lites.

Grainger told Mike they didn't have the brushes -- which is why we got the whole motor as we needed the toilet to work.

with shipping and tax almost $400 (we paid extra for overnight)
I think it was about $100 on the manufacturing website -- be we didn't know who manufactured it until we got it.
