Coachworks, Ft Valley GA. Auction
Kurt, you need to look at the curreny edition of "Americas Freedom" which is the NRA official journal. They have a clock at page 57 that all good southerners should have. Purports to honor Robert E. Lee and the confederate battle flag; and the sime strike is a cannon that comes out like a Cukoo bird and fires a shot. Real hoot.

Hey Greg get your head outa your butt about wanderlodge
if you have so much to rag about call Ann Landers or go back to making useless
shoes
there were only 10 Wanderlodge owners in attendance at the sale and believe me
we did not spend that much money
there were however 200 registered bidders and for the most part they spent their
money wisely Parliament bought the paper for the vendor list and customer list
the building owner bought the large fixtures inside the building cranes, paint
booths
scrap dealers bought most all the steel, aluminum fixtures and raw product
a truck dealer bought the hi horsepower motors
I already sold all that I bought BEFORE Rats and I dont think there will be that
much there

To say that Wanderlodge Owners Group members influenced the sale is a load of
crap and a good many members here also belong to that group
Are you going to paint all the members with that same brush
You would be foolish to do so. You attack anyone who does not think the way you
do and by the way do you buy your work equipment at auction? You talk a good
story but that's all it is talk

Coachworks, Ft Valley GA. Auction
yea the Luce family business types are a thing of the past. Bankruptcy is
acceptable business now a day. I bet Wanderlodge/ccw was structured for a exit.
I was way surprised that ccw bought it in the first place. I kind of thought
they wanted the facilities to do the conversions they do in Riverside. and for
federal mandate retrofits and upcomming epa rules. I see the Riverside
facility always busy and they recently re filled their lot with over what must
be 1,000 city and transit bus units. the good part about their continued health
is their parking lot is full from 9-5.

It is just ashame that auctioneers didnt sell larger lots like you described
with some one buying the entire cage area for 40G's. less stuff would be parted
out and only big players would be bidding. Would have been good for someone like
Birtles ,Dupree or Parliment to land a large lot and become a source of
continued distribution. I guess the fat lady sang.

Coachworks, Ft Valley GA. Auction

Steve,

Anyone that was at the auction knows the impact of the RATS owners was nil. Shucks. The impact of any BB owners was nil. Owners from as far away from CA were here. Those here witnessed an Historical event and the opportunity to pick up a few things. Not much in individual vintage parts and those that were available were parts of much larger parts

Those that were not here did so from lack of desire or opportunity. I wish all birders could have been here to experience it. However Steve, I doubt any effort on your part to change the mind to those that were not here will be efforts in futility.

See you at RATS!

To say that Wanderlodge Owners Group members influenced the sale is a load of crap and a good many members here also belong to that group

Are you going to paint all the members with that same brush

You would be foolish to do so. You attack anyone who does not think the way you do and by the way do you buy your work equipment at auction? You talk a good story but that's all it is talk

John Martin spent 6 days working on the coach after I got there to pick it up, I'm glad he's heading back to Clearwater. Several day of work were done to it before I got there. No she wasn't a wreak, but she was used by a family that enjoyed her. The day I went home they fueled her, $900.00 at the time. When I inquired about what I owed for the labor & fuel, Steve replied nothing it's on me.

Wake up Greg. It isn't all about you. You had to be at the auction to
understand the funeral effect.

Wish you the best in all your adventures.

I had a finality with Bluebird all on my own and traveled far for the
adventure.

Unless you were here, you have no say.

Sincerely

I suspect that those who attended first hand felt as if a good friend had passed away. My opinion, only.

Ernie,

That is very true.

Especially for the men and women attending who worked there for years.

There was no joy in the day. Just hard cold reality.

I guess I just dont understand the brand loyality and attraction many of you
folks share. I am glad you were able to get some weatherstripping to
memorialize your loss.

Greg,

You right, you just don't get it.

The second I find a Prevost I like better than my Bird I'm outta here!

It wasn't loyalty.

A peasants like me saved my nickels and dimes for 16 years before I could own a
Blue Bird, it was a dream realized.

Now were orphaned, tough crap, that's life.

I'm into Motor Coaches, Your into shoes, How many does it seat?

Sorry Ernie, I apologize, I'm done with this thread.
