DAWSON CREEK FERRY 25 YEARS AGO
WOW What a difference 25 years makes...............When I drove to Alaska in
1984, I hardly ever saw another vehicle....no delay at the Dawson Ferry
either....wow..now look at the croud!!!!

Hank,
Glad to see someone keeps up with the Bird of the Week feature! I was surprised
by the line in that shot also.
And remember, just because it's cold in Chicago doesn't mean it is not warm down
south. No need to scram to OZ just cause it's cold in Chi-town.

One of these days we are going to get back to TEXAS. Maybe in a year or so
after I put PROPANE INJECTION on the SP. We miss all you Texans! For now, it
is recovery and then first cold here then back to OZ for Summer....... Come on
over....we have room......

Isn't that ferry at Dawson CITY? And yes, things do change. When I took that
ferry in 1961 I don't think a PT would have fit on it at all. We were the only
car on the ferry, and the only car on the two-rut dirt road all the way to Tok
Junction.

Dawson doesn't look that different, tho.

I drove to Dawson City in 66 and all
the streets in town were dirt and the item's in the now museum were just laying
around town. We've been back several times since and not a lot of changes.
