Ron,
Did I miss something?
What does the gen set have to do with the engine problem?

the mechanic said he might have the work complete by the middle of the following
week. That sure would be nice.

Marabito's Coach
Bob, perhaps you missed a post about Ron's coach. Upon going around the dreaded courthouse here in weatherford, Ron noticed smoke coming from engine and genn compartment. The generator shut itself down and Ron killed the 8v.
I believe the insurance company wanted to make sure the main engine was not affected as they requested Prevost to see if it would start- and it did. Plus having all the gauges coming to life means they weren't fried.
Seeing this first hand was a little un-nerving for me- and I'm sure Ron was feeling worse.

Nothing Bob. It is about the electrical connection between them both. They are
moving cautiously, thinking that will reduce the chance of another short. Beats
me, how they think.

July 28 and they have finally started work on my coach. Generator was
checked and it ran just fine. Haven't checked for output however. Hopefully
with a week's effort, we might know a lot more. I've got my fingers crossed.

Marabito's Coach
Hi all:

I dropped by the shop today to get a couple items from the coach. They are
working on the re-wiring from the rear to the front in the frame. They had to
remove the ceiling of the front pass-through storage bay to access the wiring.
The mechanic said that it was going well but it will be a week and a half before
the shunts come in from the factory. They were not available anywhere else.

Needless to say, we won't have the coach back until the middle of August and
that is without any other surprises.
