1" green stripe coolant hose replacement
I have had trouble finding replacement hose for the 1"id green stripe hose. It
is wire re-inforced.

I replaced some recently and used some that I think was hydraulic. It was
EXTREMELY difficult to get on over the fittings and in a different situation I
might not be able to use it at all.

I'm getting ready for a long trip and would like to store up a few extra feet in
case I need it.

Does anyone know where I can buy this coolant hose? (My usual places like Napa
couldn't help me.)

Thanks,
Alan Johnson

I used Amazon Hose and Rubber in Orlando when I lived there
(http://www.amazonhose.com/); I don't know where you are at, but I would call
them, they should be able to point you in the right direction. They can
fabricate hydraulic and air conditioning lines on site.

Good luck,

Alan,

The 1 inch wire re-enforce hose is green stripe Gates hose.
They make it for NAPA with a gold strip or lettering.
The part number is 800, it comes in 3 ft or 10 ft or I think 25 feet, at
about $20.00 per foot. Find a NAPA parts guy older than 18 years and he will
find it......

Yep Ernie,

I once call the CAT hotline, And the young fellow had no idea of my questions,
I asked him to stand up look around and find the oldest person to talk to me.

I think it will surprise most folks that there exist competing industrial hose
outlets. in our area we have several. The hose man The hose mart, ASJ hose,
Industrial hose supply, and the list goes on. In Colton, CA I find the best
service at "the hose mart".
