M380 Bedroom Slide Won't Retract

Help!

After years of perfect operation, my bedroom slide decided not to retract. The
problem appears to be that it does not detect that the ignition switch is in the
"Accessory" position, because that LED on the control panel does not light up.

Any ideas appreciated.

I had the same problem last summer. The problem is with the control box in the bedroom. Bluebird replaced it......of course not an option now. If you remove the box from the wall and hold the contacts tight, you should be able to use the buttons to get the slide in.

When you say LED does not light up on control panel...are you talking about
panel in bedroom with "IN" and "OUT" buttons. If this is the panel you are
talking about are all the indicators on it dark?

The most common problem is a poor ground.

THe system undoubtedly works through a relay (located in one of the power centers), so it may be the ground for the relay or possibly, the relay itself has gone bad (the contacts tend to get burnt and/or corrode over time).

Time to get out the multi-meter and start checking circuits.

The LED is asymptom, but not the reason for the problem.

If its just the "Accessory" indicator on the bedroom control panel not lighting
up my 1st question is does the main slide work and know when the key switch is
turned to acessory? If it does then key switch is working and we need to go to
bedroom slide controller in bay #3 roadside and look at leds there. On the right
computer the bottom left led "X0" is the acessory indicator and should be on
when key is switched to accessory. I can help you more but would be easier on
the phone with you in front of controller so I can tell you what to look for.

Pete,

Thanks. I understand the LED is an indicator - as the map is not the country,
it is not the problem. Just wondered if someone else had encountered this and
how they fixed it. In the meantime, I'm chasing throught the electrical system
with my Fluke.
