Park Brake Air Valve
Ralph, have you ever known it to become plugged/obstructed?

No, I haven't, though were there enough years of constant humidity, it
could plug up with the dirt collected by oil on the exhaust side. There are
o-rings in the valve, if memory serves 3, I rebuilt Dan and Sandy's valve
on their old '83 long ago. Actually found a re build kit for the darn
thing. It is easier to replace the valve and in todays market easier on the
pocket book.

Park Brake Air Valve
I've already ordered a replacement valve, but my concern was that my
problematical valve issue could be plugging of the exhaust downstream rather
than in the valve itself.

"Problematical" in this case refers to two times when it would not activate. The
"rush" of air to the exhaust was weak-sounding, and the brakes did not take
hold. Repeated on/off action eventually produced proper braking. The two
incidents were almost two years apart, so when I put the new valve in and
everything works fine I still won't be sure that the problem isn't down in the
exhaust line somewhere!
