Somewhere on this forum or on the Wanderlodgeownersgroup I read that the Mack truck mounts are used for our motor mounts. Not sure where I saw that.

Bill,

I'll let you guess, but I'm not telling where you saw that information, but here
is the contents of the post;

NEW MOTOR MOUNTS INSTALLED

Here is what Randy and his helper Glenn finally did to get the new rear motor
mount biscuits installed.....first I'm sure that there was a reason why my ears
were burning, but after cutting out one of the old biscuits that had deformed
and spread out somewhat, I made the trip down to Raneys Truck parts in Ocala,
FL. and Gregg the parts man matched the old rubber biscuit up with one for a
Mack truck engine, that is a little smaller in diameter and had to be trimmed a
little, (I will let Randy describe what he did there) but after installing it
into the mount itself and letting the weight of the engine compress it, the
biscuit popped right into the hole that it was supposed to fit into. The part
number for the rubber biscuit is ISOLATOR KCM 20QL324M.

The new mounts also raised the exhaust pipes up off of the front suspension
frame work, so this should also quiet things down even more, now I may have to
stop every so often and get out to listen to make sure the engine is still
running

There were some folks that were at RATS that thought that they heard some piston
slap when my 'Bird was sitting in the drive idling, that turned out to be the
Horton air clutch fan that is very noisy and rattles when the engine is at idle,
according to the people at Horton this is normal and you can hear the trucks at
the truck stop during the summer that are sitting with the air conditioner
running, make the same noise. When the Horton fan is turned off, it sounds just
like any other Cat 3208NA according to Randy.
