400 Coaches in Perry 2007 60 Coaches in Branson Mo 2008, mmmmmm

I guess in some circles 60 coaches is a successful rally, but compared
to THE RALLY IN THE VALLEY?

Maybe us Bluebirders should organize to have a Rally in the Valley in
Perry next year, we could invite CCW and other vendors to participate
if they wished! I think that the way that Bluebird did the rally's is
probally gone. Maybe we could find a retired Bluebird person (Brenda)to
assisit us in organizing it for a fee, or someone who is local to
Perry, Ga. area. I am sure the fairgrounds would be interested, in
having us back. Possibly could fold in the RATS rally in.

Just a thought.

Before you go too far with that idea, better check on the cost of
renting that facility for a few days. I think that you will find the
cost to be quite high. BB used to absorb some of that. Also, The
Family of Friends were heavily involved in putting it on. Many
volunteers.

I attended my first one where there was around 500 plus coaches
attending. Cost was a major factor in its loss of attendees. When it
was $150, everyone wanted to attend.

Organizing it would not be that difficult, if you could afford it.

Lots of optimists in this thread. I would wonder whether BB will be in
business for another year not worry about their support for RIV. Every
mfr. is suffering. FW shares are down to 25 cents. Monaco is hanging by
a thread. Winnie is shakey. Marathon sales are way down. How long can
CCW keep subsidizing the BB plant?? I just hope that it is sold to
another party and does not go to auction.
