Cracked windshield 90 SP36
I took the bird to the paint shop to have a touch up and
when I went back to move it I noticed the passenger side
windshield had several cracks in it starting at the top and
forming a Y about 20" in from the right. It was not particularly
hot outside nor had it been moved since I dropped ot off. I checked
the outside for any indication of contact and could find nothing.
The cracks are not even visible from the outside.
Since I have good insurance it will pay for most(if not all) of the
replacement cost but I need to know where to order the glass.

Chuck, I just had my right windshield replaced and the shop I used
(very experienced with autos but not busses) ordered the shield from
one of their regular sources and the wrong one came in. They asked me
for BB's # and ended up getting it from them. They're still arguing
over who should pay the freight to return the wrong one! Maybe it's
better to just check with BB from the start.

Bill
I had to replace both my windshields on my 1991 SP 36 when we returned from Alaska. I went to our local Blue-Bird school bus garage, and they ordered and got the 2 windshields for me and installed them. It was pretty cheap in price too as I remember. You must check with Blue-Bird about the windshield numbers first. The installation could be done by any GOOD auto glass shop I'm sure.

Thanks Juergen,
I talked to Ernie today and found they have only gone up to $260
(+ shipping) 10 years ago they were $150.
