Tire help
Anyone out there in civilization help me get a replacement Michelin
XZE-star 11R22.5 inch tire? I'm stuck in Balmorhea State Park in west
Texas. The side-wall is bulging on a steer-axle tire so bad I think
I'll have to buy a used tire at the nearest truckstop and swap a tag
forward before I can drive anywhere.

Thanks--

Michael:

You might try Pecos, which is the closest. Next would be Ft.
Stockton and if those fail, Odessa should have it for sure. If I
would have known this this morning, I could have dropped one off for
you from El Paso. I am already past you in Big Spring, TX. I hope
you have a toad with you.

Forgot to tell you that there are 3 truck stops in Pecos.

Tire help
Thanks Ron:

I arrived here at 17:00 from Deming. No problems observed at any
stops, including fueling in Anthony, so it must have happened in the
last 100 miles. I posted in the hope one of the Texas contingent at Q
might be passing on the way home.

From previous experience, I'm not optimistic about services in Pecos.
Web shows a Michelin dealer in Midland, and a Bridgestone truck tire
dealer in Ft. Stockton. I have my pickup to fetch one, once located.
I have CoachNet road service for mounting.

Good luck to you. Wish I had been a day behind and could have helped.
