I count 20 early Bird arrivals here at the Q nest, plus 3 SOBs.

I've had 21 computers connect to my WiFi so far, but likely some are from
outside our group as I am running wide open.

Hi Don, my dad, Jerry and I were sooo planning on coming again this and
make sure the BMC's were present and counted for, however, I am at
work, it is 15 degrees outside and about now I am wishing that I had
just bucked up and drove down. My son is coming home from Iraq in March
and we will be driving down to 29 Palms, so we had to cancel this year.
How about some photos of the happenings, as the week goes on, for those
of us that really, really wanted to be there.

Hi Marty

OK, I went out and stood in the center of the circle and did a quick rotation to
get the 21 birds here now. They can be found at
http://www.arcatapet.net/travel/swbbq08.cfm (all images clickable for larger
versions).

I will do something along those lines when it fills in, and maybe stitch them
together as a panorama.

Don thanks for the pics. Two of us are coming in from Yuma tomorrow. How far down La Posa South road do you travel before you find the nest. Is it on the left or right?

Likewise, Don. If Phil or Curt have not arrived, would you post the
Lat and Lon of the location for GPS locating?

Here is a Google Earth shot approximating our circle's location:
http://www.arcatapet.net/travel/images/s...google.jpg

I make it as 1.5 miles as the crow flies from the entrance on left as the
pavement ends.

Thanks Fred, Dad and I were planning on coming to Quartzsite all year
(we were looking forward to spending some time with everyone again)
when my son was getting married in June in Michigan, they changed there
plans so I am hopeful that dad will be following me down in March in
his GMC. Now my son the Marine is planning on getting married the
weekend he gets home from Iraq in Las Vegas " he is in LOVE". The BMC
will be pulling a trailer full of his furniture to 29 Palms for
the "Home Coming", and then driving to Vegas for the wedding and then
home to Washington. At some point I hope to regain control of my lifeSmile
