How often do you check your battery level water?

So far with my single battery cooker, I check mine once a month. No
problems, so far.

Most are plugged into elec. Some are not. I had my 35FC for sale at a
consignment lot, years ago. The management said the coach would always have
electricity. I went there 3 weeks later, no electricity, no sales person to
bug
ya.Dead batteries-- I had to crawl under coach to attach jumper cables to genny
battery to start generator and then fired the coach up. Drove it off that
consignment lot and didn't look back.

Well this probably is an old subject but its interesting to think that
this is probably one of the most over looked items on our coaches. I
try to remember once a month to refill my battery's because of a cost
of over 350 dollars for four battery's this an easy solution. All
these items such as such battery tenders and whatnot's still those
items will not let you know that your battery acid water is below the
plates. So does anyone here have any horror stories to tell about this
most forgetful item?

Do the newer Wanderlodge coaches come with this single point device?
Looks like a winner for a sure cure for that low water problem in our
batterys.

When you go those RV sales lots, you the ones that have millions and

Untill I installed a "Smart Battery Charger" they needed checking once
a week. Now once a month is fine. Having a 79FC checking the batteries
is a challange to say the least. I made a battery filler/checker. I
used a water alarm it's sold for warning you of a flooded basement. I
made 2 probes that are the correct length for my batteries this is the
checker section. The filler consists of a gallon jug and a small hand
pump. The tube from the pump has the probes on it. Stick the end in
each cell and add water untill the alarm sounds. Now it takes more time
to remove the caps. Cost less than 30$. The auto filler sounds great,
but I like to check the cables and compartment as well.

For my money you can't beat AGM batteries. Lots going for them, and never having
to check fluid levels is just one of them.
