Memorial Day
Since somebody is wanting to keep track I will throw in my two cents worth.
Drafted in November 1966 Discharged in October 1968. I was told then that was
the largest draft call since WWII. Don't know that to be the truth but it
seemed plausible with the buildup in Nam at the time. I lost one of my best
friend and next door neighbor there. He was a West Point grad. I haven't been
able to bring myself to go to the Wall in DC yet. I get all knotted up just
thinking about it. I will do it someday soon. God Bless all veterans but most
especially those that are in harms way today and keeping us safe.
