Don,
I did not say I had extenders on my valve stems. My inside dual stems were too
short and I had a choice to add extenders which could develop a leak that would
be hard to detect or replace the stem with a longer one. I have put on new tires
and new 10" stabilized inside dual stems. Over the life of the new Michelin
tires and the Pressure Pro system the prorated cost of new stems will be of
little consequence not counting the cost of the Wanderlodge attached to those
tires. But to each his own.

yea, but it is a pain to check and add air with this configuration. guess I
won't drive on gravel roads.

Ernie, I never knew why and it always bothere me since checking air
pressure was a contorsion circus. Hwen I got my Pressure Pros last
year, I just had to have them turned out so I could get the caps on
and off to fill with air. Anybody know why they are always turned
in? Fashion?

Pressure Pro arrived and installed
protection against rocks slipping in between the duals you can check
the air pressure with a truck dual foot gauge push for the outside
tire hookand pull for the inside of course the valve have to be lined
up with the hand hole on the outside wheel

Ernie,
It's a DOT thing.
DOT didn't want some road debris to knock the valve stem off and
cause an instant flat and possibly turn a truck over.
I have been just behind an 18 wheeler that blew a rear tire and the
trailer started to sway...scary to watch.
That said, I turned mine around to be able to put the Crossfires on.
