The "2" not on the road is suspect, in my opinion. I know that in the early 90's this number was quoted often. Since that time their have been losses due to fire and possibly other causes as well. I met the owners of an early 80's coach that had been in a wreck and was restored over a several year period. He had substantial documentation and claimed that before he salvaged his coach there were 3 unaccounted for Birds. Even if the number is a dozen or so, that is an amazing tribute to the quality of construction over the years. Rich D. '99LXi43' CT |
