Roadside assistance
---Roadside assist...hmmmmmmmm......old batteries..........dry
rotting of tires.......hmmmm.......technician makes decision on the
spot at the scene...hmmmmmmmm...so lets say old barney has 10yr old
tires and one blows on the road, the technician comes by and
say..."tires too old..dry rotted...sorry....hmmmmmmmm..I know people
with 15 yr old tires on their birds and still going good...samr with
older batteries......hmmmmmm....like I said in an earlier
mail...the door is wide open, in my opinion for some "technician
subjectivity" and after all "profit" must be a consideration in any
business...I maintain my original opinion that with the "new"
wording, the door is wide open here for "technician abuse." Anybody
had any problems yet??? LOL

Hank: Is that the lawyer in you coming out? Just kidding. Coach Net and
Good Sam have been doing this for a long time. I dont think they are
looking for ways to get out of providing you coverage. They will not
renew and not provide coverage if say you called 3 times in a week for
tire problems and your tires are rotten. I dont blame them. AAA will do
the same. If you live in cold country and call for a boost every time
there is a cold snap your coverage will be nil. I think 10 years is too
old for tires. I have blown a duallie and wonder what that would have
been like if it were on the front. Pretty scarey.

Hank,
I have Coach-Net through FMCA... On a recent trip from Key West, I was twenty
miles from my storage facility when I had a blow out on a ten year old tire... I
called the ERS number and told them what had happened, they sent out a tire
repair person and changed the tire with a new one that I had to pay for and that
was all I had to pay... So I do not think that it is a problem, unless you are
constantly calling with blown out ten year old tires, then they may refuse to
pay for the service call...
