Just to let anyone know that the surge protection deal with Tweedy's is
still on. I called for another fellow on Thursday and they said they would
keep the sale going until the end of business Friday this week. Anyone
interested can call Tweedy's and just ask for the Wanderlodge deal of $270

If you bought one you would have received the huge catalog from the
parent company. They have just about everythinig you could want for
an RV. I wonder if there aren't oportunities for other product
volume discounts? I know when I made my order they were very curious
as to who we all were.

Note that the label on the front cover states "call tweedy's for
discount prices." We needed a new day/night shade -- and the list
price of $115 (for the size we need) seemed pretty reasonable to
start with -- but it was only $99 and change with the discount. I
could have paid more than double at 3-day blinds...

Yes, the woman who took my order was very interested as to just who this group
was. I also purchased another item at the same time, not related to the EMS,
and received a very good discount.

Gardner,
I think some of us would rather use the portable Progressive EMS PT30 or PT 50C
Surge Protector. One of the great advantages is being able to connect the
portable to the outlet and check the outlet and power before pulling in and
setting up. How about seeing if a deal could be arranged with Tweety's on the
portable units. The going price I have found on the PT 50C is $399.00 S&H
included.

Yep, check Tweety for prices, before purchasing, Quick fast and
reasonable shipping, No Tax.
Also purchased the Midland WR300 Weather Radio, Good reception, does
not squack like the other brands. We can now receive National Weather
emergency alerts, can prepare for tornados, floods, fire, storms,
about 2 dozen alarm alerts. Plus it is a nice clock radio.

what is the advantage to portable EMS? The hardwire seems pretty straight
forward ( note, I havent dont it yet). The portable has the potential risk of
theft as a downside. If it gets stolen it offers no protection at all.

Gardner,
On the recommendation of Ralph F. and the shop that does my coach
work, I called Rodger at Tweety's and changed my order from hardwire
to the portable version. The additional cost of portable version was
only a couple dollars more.
