Canister with Coolant Lines

There is a canister 7" dia. and 12" length. It's located under the
radiator fan mount. Coolant lines go to/from it. What is this canister?

That's the filter canister for your engine coolant system. Uses a
filter element to trap all those pieces of crud from your engine block &
radiator.
