Xantrex Experience?
Anyone have any experience with repairs from Xantrex on a Truecharge 40?

One of my Truecharge 40s quite working when I lost the alternators
during our Las Vegas/Grand Canyon trip. Any items I should check on
it (like internal replaceable fuses) before pulling it out for R&R?

Thanks,

Mike the OM says there is an individual fuse on each one of the three +
outputs, and it further says the fuse must be internally repaired. I am
only using one of the three + outputs on each TrueCharge 40???? on my
bus. I wonder if you are not using all the output + on the charger,
maybe the not used one is ok and will sufice. I dont think you can
simply probe the other + terminals because the chargers pump to demand.

I would ground a single spare battery to the bus then try and hook it
up to the truecharge unused (if any) terminal. heck the same test on
the failed terminal may rule out the charger and prove a battery hookup
problem????????

You may want to test the charger ground first by just replacing the
ground from the non working charger.???? I thing the saying
goes "from the ground up $$$$. ground is always the cheapest repair
to make.
