were a PITA.

Dave:
I have not replaced the kitchen faucet but did retrofit my bath sink and
plumbing. I had to fabricate flared tubing on my installation because I moved
the sink location. You shouldn't have that problem.
Your drop-in kitchen sink should have 3 holes for the faucet fixture. If you
have a spray wand add a hole. If you have a hand soap dispenser add another
hole. I'm trying to visualize Insta Hot. If you have that system you'll need to
R/R the plumbing. I think mine is in the sink. Depending on your
configuration you should be able to purchase a new faucet at Home Depot or Ace
Hardware. Installation should be about one hour unless something is goofy with
the supply lines. Be sure to pressure test before closing up.

Second, repair kits are available for most faucets. If you are handy and the
faucet is leaking at the control you may be able to re-seal it.

Save your sanity and go to homedepot and buy a basin wrench to reach
up behind the cabinets and unscrew the nuts?

Dave:
One other thing. If you replace the faucet and your angle stop or ball valve is
frozen, drain your system at the outside hand wash hose bib to prevent flooding
your bus. My outside hose bib is in the LP bay curbside.

Dave, last fall I replaced all the "stems" for all the faucets in our
86 FC. Very easy to do. If you have Moen faucets as I do then they will
guarentee the stems and faucets for life. If you are not pressed for
time you could contact them and get the parts for free. If time is of
the essence then most home improvement chains have the parts you will
need. Just a note, If you buy the repair kits buy one kit with the
special "wrench" in it to remove the stem, it will save you a lot of
time. When I bought mine the stems were about $20.00 THEN I find out
they are warranty items from Moen. I was pressed for time and the
faucets were sticking. Oh also pick up a small tube of plumbers
waterproof,heat resistent (hot h20) grease.

Best of luck
