Retarder Fuse Location on 1984FC35
I have lost power to my control unit for my retarder. The blue light on
the dash retarder on/off switch lights but no power to hand control.
The unit was working fine and just quit. According to everything I have
read there is supposed to be a inline fuse but I can not find it. I
have purchased the complete wiring diagram set from Bluebird but it
only shows the dash switch. It seems that each year is different so I
was looking for some one that has/had a 1984 and had found the fuse on
theirs. The fuse is the low amp glass type not the big high amp one by
the relay box under the coach. Thanks Jim Matus 1984 FC35SB Rescue CA

Retarder Fuse Location on 1984FC35
Hi Jim:

3 locations were common for the control voltage fuse. Lower area of the
steer column, right or left. Then under the dash toward the front of the
left foot on the bulkhead. Last place I have seen it, under the lower dash
panel to the rear, slightly left of center.

Am sure there are others, but those are the ones I have seen.

Safe travels,
