What is the function of the metal cylinder with 2 hoses in it mounted
on the rear of the coach to the right of the radiator?

Chuck
Unless you speak about the air filter I can't find any thing I would
describe as a cylinder.

Sounds like the engine/coolant heater on my FC. Turn on your engine
heater and you should be able to feel/hear it run.

Good luck,

Just above this "cylinder, is the mfg label for brake shoes and
chassis reference number. Just below it is an air valve. It is only
visible when you raise the back cover.

The ether bottle is accessible from the air cleaner compartment.
This is accessible only after opening the radiator cover and
raising it.
