3208NA FAT CAT POWER
There has been a lot of discussion about the inadequate power of the
Caterpillar 3208NA engine used in some 'Birds, my theory about that
powerplant in my 'Bird has always been, to just leave a little bit
earlier and relax and not only smell the roses, but watch them grow
as you go by.

I affectionately have placed a logo on the front side of my 'Bird,
where there is normally a WANDERLODGE emblem mounted and where I
don't have one, a decal that depicts exactly just who I think best
represents my CAT 3208NA engine.

My thanks to Tom Sorrentino, for the lettering that he applied at
Myrtle Beach this year. I had the other decal made up, by the same
guy that supplies the "IT'S NOT OLD - IT'S VINTAGE" decals, after I
supplied him with the different color layers for his normally just a
black outline decal. Please forgive the rain drops on the decal
surface, as it had just stopped raining when I took the photo.

Ernie,

I sure have, I added an additional 4 inch air intake, you can see how
I did mine at;

Be sure to check out the "NEXT" two pages on the site for more
information about how I did it.

There seems to be a little extra power since I added the extra air
intake, just ask Scott Bishop about keeping up with me on the way to
Maxton and I was pulling the trailer too. I haven't had a chance to
see how it does on any steep grades yet, but will get that chance in
about a month.
