Stephen, that is exactly what I am doing with my Bird now. It looks like I am
going to have to remove most of the pipes and replace them. The ones that had not burst were expanded so that none of the standard fittings will work. So, to do it right I have decided to replace the copper with PEX which is supposed to be resistant to bursting if frozen and it supposed to be much easier to work with in tight areas. I have some pictures on the WOO site where I have taken mine apart, but I still have to put the new in yet. I will be doing it in the next few days . . . one way or the other.
