KOA in St Augustine, FL??
We're planning a trip starting 1/6 for a couple of weeks and are considering
the St Augustine Beach KOA for a couple days to use as a base to visit, JAX,
St Augustine and other. How is that CG? Seems a bit of a pain to access from
I-95.

Thanks

Stayed there a month ago, nice park, pricey, great cable.
Not a problem to get there from I-95 and convenient as a base to tour
St.Augustine. Only problem we had was missing the I-10 turn off and getting a
extra 50 mile tour of FL north of Jacksonville on our way to Moultrie, GA.

KOA in St Augustine, FL??
Ed,

We have no experience with the St. Augustine KOA but did stay in
the State Park there in Feb. of '04. Less expensive, secluded sites
with natural vegetation. There is a nice beach access and a clean,
well-stocked campground store with take-out food available. Sites
have 50 amp and water with a dumpsite at the entrance to the
campground.

Access was not a problem, just a few minutes drive to St. Augustine.

Contact:

http://www.reserveamerica.com

to check availability and make reservations. That site has campground
and location maps with directions and other information.

Enjoy your stay in Florida! (even in January on the Atlantic Coast)

KOA in St Augustine, FL??
We stayed there this last summer for a few days, it's a small
campground but nice. They offer free wifi and cable. It isn't hard to
get to from I95 and is located close to Anastasia State park, and about
four miles from downtown, we rode our bikes back and forth to town. I
would stay there again.

Ed,

Can't tell about that CG since I have an aversion to KOA's but I can
recommend Hanna City Park which is located just north of Jacksonville
Beach on A1A.
They have around 400 CGs with 90 foot pull throughs, are located on the
beach and convenient to the places you mentioned. Check out
<http://www.tropical-adventure.com/travel...-park\
.shtml>
They offer numerous discounts. Enjoy.
