tall seat, short legs

LOL well Dick, I think that what I am going to do for now, is a foot stool
to rest my feet on and booster lifts on peddles. Peggy and I had the seat off
yesterday, and I do NOT think I want to cut any of the pedestal plus that is
really heavy gauge steel. So for the time being I will just "booster" it.

Tom if your pedestals are like mine you dont want to cut off any of
it anyway since it will then be to close to the floor for you to use
the adjustable screw that allows the seat to be swiveled to the right
or left and then secured. Easiest way is to make a platform out of
plywood and then cover it with glue on carpet, then install extenders
on the pedals screwing blocks of wood the same size as the pedals and
what ever thickness you want. Or use steel foot rests that pivot up
to rest your feet on.

I put in Vila all leather seats that are really beautiful but they
are a little wider and higher then the old flexsteels. Just enough
higher that I find them uncomfortable to put my legs where they
should go (on the floor). too.
