Hot water heater troubleshooting
The engine heats the water, but turning on the breaker after parking
does not result in hot water. I am getting ready to start looking for the problem. Any suggestions of things to check and in what order, would be appreciated. Thanks, JB Lewis, 77FC31, Grand Lake,Ok. |

There is also a safety device that will not allow the heater to go on
if the water is to low in the tank. tom 1982 FC35 Vernon Center,NY At 07:39 AM 10/1/2005, you wrote: >ck for elec at the probes..like a regular heater at home..if you have >power then you have a element burnt out!~ > >if not thermosat or breaker pop-ed? > >woody 81fcrb > > > > > > > > >--- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "bascom1968" >wrote: > > The engine heats the water, but turning on the breaker after parking > > does not result in hot water. make sure breaker is on, switch is red (on) on the back of the heater
is a cover held on with two screws, kill power take them out you will see thermostat on the bottom, be careful with power on,check for voltage at the top screw, if voltage present at top screw but not bottom, elememt is shot. if not back up to thermostat or eco switch all should pass votage to element. bb sells for 28.00 at home depot they have an adaper that will adapt from the 4 hole flange into a screw in type elemnet adapter and element is about $15.00. orr and orr sells a 4 bolt elemnt for about $9.50 re brake -- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "bascom1968" wrote: > The engine heats the water, but turning on the breaker after parking > does not result in hot water. Found the problem. An unmarked wall switch in the bedroom controls the
tank! Happy to find this before tearing the tank apart. Thanks for suggestions. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "bascom1968" wrote: > The engine heats the water, but turning on the breaker after parking > does not result in hot water.
