Finally made it home, after going to the RATS rally and Family of Friends
rally. Will skip the FoF rally next year but not the RATS. Gobs of fun!! If
you have never been, put it on your bucket list. It is in Pine Mtn, Ga.,
Oct.24-29 2012. There are 80+ coaches already registered for next year, and they
have the entire park reserved for us.
On the other side of the coin, we had a tire failure on the way home. At least
it was the tag, and with a pressure pro tire monitor, we were able to slow down
before total failure. Coach-net had a tire guy there within the hour. Thank
goodness, I carry a spare. It only cost us to change the tire. $27, and we back
on the road.

I highly recommend carrying a spare. I have had one for over five years(not
the same one), and this was the first time I have needed it.

Wallace & Steve: I decided to "ditch" my ancient Michelin I was carrying as a
spare. At 150 lbs, more or less, I opted to shed the weight. Even with a cover,
(which had begun to deteriorate) the tire was at the point where it was
developing cracks in the sidewall. I know I'm taking a chance, but I figure I
could buy a tire if I needed one.

Yes, to both questions. The cover is fabric. I just buy two tire covers, and
put them on in opposite directions.
