Lone Star Birds Tube Float
Attached below is the last update from Nick Stanko 2 days ago on the
Lone Star Birds Tube Float party coming up next weekend. I think it's
up to 10-12 Birds now. This is your last chance to get in. Contact
Nick if interested in coming. His email address is in the
Member-to-Member Database. The next LSB Rally after this is Oct 1-3.
See the Rally Info in Files for further details.

--------------------

Quick river update for those of you coming..... and those of you who
know they don't want to miss the coolest / hottest spot in Texas.

Recent rains have the river flowing at a supple flow rate for an
enjoyable scenic Guadalupe river ride. In other words just ploop your
butt in the water and away you go.....

We have approx. 8 spots taken. I still have two more on hold if you
know of anyone else interested. Have them contact me.

Reminder information:

Date: August 5 - 7th 2005
Location: Lazy L & L Campground (Canyon Lake, Texas)
Services: Full hook ups w/ 50 amps,
Rate: $28.00 per night (with the plan to stay Friday night to Sunday
morning,2-nights). Pay when you check-in.
Phone number: (830-964-3455).

In the past this event has mainly been a "bring your own chow and
drinks" event. I forgot to mention that traditionally on Sunday
morning we jointly provide breakfast..... So this is the only one get
together where bringing a dish is customary. I'll cover the
pancakes as usual...

A large propane grill will be provided. A small concession stand is
available at the park, however their hours may fluctuate based upon
business. I will also bring the swamp cooler again.

Very important notes:
- Rafts and tube rentals, as well as return transportation are also
available at an additional fee. You may bring your own toob.
- Although their brochure indicates "no pets" we have obtained special
approval from the manager to allow our pets on-site, HOWEVER, they
must stay in your coach except to potty.... When outside they must
stay on your site only (no walking up and down the camp) and then go
right back in the coach. I know this is not fun. I too have a dog.
But it's this or "NO Dogs". You could consider driving up the road to
take Fido for a walk. And of course all doo-doo is to be cleaned up.
Sorry... But none of the campgrounds along the river allow dogs.
- We suggest all big rig traffic take exit 191 (route 306) off of I-35
even if you are coming from the South or the East.

So let's go plop our butts in the water and float down the
river....... Aahhhhhhh.................. You'll have a
ducky time. See ya there...
