Going Home For Surgery but Can't Take Wanderlodge
Howdy, Y'all.

I am going home to have my heart's mitral valve fixed. I was supposed
to go to the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH but my heart felt more
comfortable with my decision to go home to Texas.

We will travel in the company mini-van and leave here(SE FL) on August
19. Unfortunately we can't take the Wanderlodge. Wish we could.
However after surgery I will not be able to drive for six weeks.
Therefore I can't help Jack with the driving.

My appointment with the heart surgeon is on August 23 at The Methodist
Hospital, Houston, TX. Hopefully the surgery will follow soon thereafter.

Although I am apprehensive about all of this, I look forward to a
healthier heart and being able to breathe a whole lot better.

We will keep y'all updated.

Best regards,
Liz

good luck liz with the valve repair. from what i understand, they sew
a lasso around the valve and tighten the diameter of the valve so it
closes better. think about getting better first. once you regain
your health, you can go get the bird and go go go. i understand that
you will feel almost brand new after the procedure. blood gasses will
return to normal levels. normal activities and all that. brenda and
i will say some prayers for you.

Going Home For Surgery but Can't Take Wanderlodge
Hi Liz...My name is Tom Rootness and my wife Cathy and I live in
Minnesota. I am a "lurker" that has studied BB's and MH's for over a
year now. My wife says I am the most knowledgeable MH person that has
NEVER owned a MH...maybe someday.

I am responding to your message to provide some moral support. My wife
had her Aortic valve reolaced 18 months ago (age 58) and her brother
(age 57) had his mitral valve repaired 14 months ago. BOTH are doing
GREAT and have resumed FULL activities. My wife is back to riding her
Harley...your BB should be a piece of cake after you have "recovered".
The DR's really know what they are doing...just follow their
instructions and don't be in a hurry as you recover.

Best Wishes...Tom and Cathy Rootness

P.S. If you want some experienced "coaching" my wife would be very
willing to discuss her experience...it helped her brother eliminate
some of the unknown. (218) 525-2695 Still can't beleive it is 90+
here in Northern MN!!
