This is the one I use. It definitely helps, but there has to be at least a little signal available outside. If there's a single bar outside I usually get four bars inside. Works with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. Also works for cellular data. But it won't turn a 1G signal into a 3G.

Yes, it does. Without the antenna, we have no signal bars. With the
antenna hooked up, we get at least 3-4 bars.
