David, thank you for getting thru to my old brain. I really subscribe to #3, although I have called the factory, perhaps 2 times in 10 years.

Ahh, allow me to translate:

1) They didn't fail, the bankers just pulled the rug out from under
'em,

2) Macy was truly trying to build a motorhome, and

3) vintage bus owner's are a PITA and will never buy one of your
new products!

I dont think they failed. business purchase plans have a bailout plan
prompted by math results. marriages have the same they call them
Prenumptuals however the prompts are mostly social.

I'm surprised they closed, thought the building/land purchase was to

The free TV give away to retro owners was the first sign of marketing
in unknown territory. Give a set of golf clubs to a fleet manager
and FM buys 15 engine repowers for the Company or transit agency he
works for.. Give a TV to Vintage bus owner and they ask for an extra

I am about 30 minutes from the plant I was going to the plant today. I
called Randy before I left. He is talking to Macy both on the phone
and email We don't every one try to speak on their own. Randy said he
will keep us updated. Macy agrees that the data is valuable to us.
After to Randy on the phone this morning, and he is talking to Macy.
We should let Randy be one focal point. When we find out what is
going to happen then we can all pull together. There is also copyright
issues as to owns it is CCW or did they lease it from Bluebird. Randy
assured me that he will keep everyone up dated

If monies are needed to buy and or move the records then someone should
be in charge of this task. They could open up a paypal account and we
could all donate whatever is necessary to preserve the data for all of
us. We should be aware that vultures could enter the picture. There
is still a possibilty that the data could end up in a dumpster. About
30 years ago one of my competitors went into receivership. The
receeiver asked me if I wanted to buy the equipment. I bid on it and
did get some. I also bid on the office equipment and won the whole
works. In the filing cabinets were all the records for 3 years:
correspondence, sales, purchases, etc. I probably learned more from
those files than I did in college!! Made me lots of $$.

Dave and rest of this group, if you have not been to Randy forum.
There is a lot of concern there to. I got my bird after the division
into 3 groups do not what cause it do not care We all have one thing
in common our birds. Randy has been talking to Macy, he was talking to
Macy about parts before they closed. Since Randy has already had
contact we need to let mid proceed with out someone else jumping there
to. Nothing can be done until The bank assigns a liquidator then that
is who talk to. If you have not been to

Macy does realize the importance the data is important to us. This
topic there 7 pages on Randy's site. Let's all pull together put away
differences .

I live 30 minutes from the plant. When the time is right I will do
anything to help There are a lot of issues to be dealt with: where is
the bankruptcy is filled; copyright area of data who owns the data.
One thing that has been suggested that we set up some committees for
different areas
