Aqua hot instrument panel switch
This has happened to me twice.
The first time it was a bad control box, which currently is about $785. The tech found it by using his test box. Used a tech in Denver in 2007 mentioned on the forum by Pete, but he is no longer in business. The second time (just before the SW Birds rally in Brenda, AZ) it was 2 bad bearings in the motor/fan/pump module- black unit that looks like a fractional hp electric motor. The tech got it to run with his test box and immediately said we had bad bearings. Also replaced fuel line and overflow line to AquaHot plastic tank. Be sure to check the radiator cap on top of the AquaHot stainless main tank. Mine had corroded and the spring/washers/shaft were all loose, it didn't work. I had lost most of the 50/50 antifreeze mixture and it had to be refilled. If it had gone below the water tubes inside the tank, the whole system could have been destroyed. I found the mobile tech by calling a number of techs on the AquaHot website. The tech said the AquaHot needs to be run on a regular schedule (at least once a month) to keep it operating well. I had not used it in almost a year. MoreyZ 99LXi41' |
