One of the reason truckers use a stick to bounce test air pressure
is thy dont want to end up with a stuck valve leaking. Many truckers and trucking companies wont use add on devices due to possible failure of that device. Kinda like the air pressure protection valve in the engine compartment of many Pt's that protect the bulk oil appliance from leaking. Seems that everyone ends up with a leak in the protection valve!!. I check a.p. once a trip and stick/bounce tires every walk around during a typical 5 day trip. other reason Truckers use the stick is it is a good excuse to have a tool for personal protection that without reason to pack, would be considered a wepon.
