Lone Star Birds December Rally
Attached is the last reminder on the Lone Star Birds December Rally.

-------------------------------------------

Halloween's over and it's time to get ready for some Christmas fun
in Galveston! Where else can you get snow on the Strand, three
parades (with the Queen), rueben sandwiches, funnel cakes, street
entertainment nonstop, costumes and costume contests, shops full of
Christmas gifts, and some of the best seafood in the state all right
here.

We are having our rally at a new resort just 10 miles from
Galveston on I-45 at exit 10 on the south bound service road with
Wi-Fi, cable TV, huge recreation hall, a REAL piano, lovely pool
area, and all concrete pads with full hookups for $25 a night. Just
call for your reservation- 409-935-7101 or email Roseanne at
Oasis45@... and set up your site for the big rally.
They are holding 20 sites for us until November 15th and then it
drops to 15 sites because the park is filling up so fast. So, get
your reservation in as soon as possible.

Rally Schedule: Friday- around 6:30- come to rec hall-byob and
snacks if you'd like-packets about the area will be given out

Saturday
- around 8:30-9:00-coffee
and donuts
-around 10:00-11:00- get
together in costume for
pictures and carpooling planning

Saturday activities on the Strand-don't
forget there are two
parades- 2pm and 7pm. We
usually lunch on the street or
pick up some great raw tuna at
Fisherman's Wharf. Snow is in
front of the Phoenix Bakery-a
restroom is inside the bakery
too and great lox and bagels.
Hang out for the night parade
and try the bar at the Tremont
Hotel if you can get a chair.
Don't forget to shop!!

Sunday morning
- 8:30- potluck breakfast in the rec hall.
They've got a nice kitchen in
the rec hall if you need to heat
things up. There will be
coffee, orange juice, and donuts
but you'll need to bring your
own utensils and glasses.

For the gift exchange, bring one
gift per coach with prices
around $15-20 and get your
number for the drawing when you
come in for breakfast. Gift
exchange will start as soon as
everyone gets their numbers and
starts eating. Remember check
out is 3pm so we should have
plenty of time to eat, play with
our Christmas toys and plan the
next rally.

Oops- I won't be leaving Montana till maybe Dec 15- unless the temps start
going south. Don't want to take any snow away from Terry Neal.

Mike, you folks in Texas always do things right! Looks like a real fun
time to celebrate the season as well as exchange Blue Bird stories.
Wish we could make it. Know we will have lots of real snow up here by
then. Maybe Ernie can bring some back with him...Have a great Rally.
