Fuse locations??
I have the wiring diagrams for my 88FC. One of them is marked "lower
front load center". Where is this located? It has most of the main
fuses for the parking, marker lites and much more. Lower to me means
the dash area. The only place I did not look was behind the panel in
front of the co pilot seat. Seems like that would be a bad place for
fuses. Am I blind?? Help please.

There is a pull-out box on the outside wall about the
area of your left calve sp? Mine has a CB on it, look there.

Bruce,

I just got an 87FC35 a few months ago... and the one thing i've
learned about where this stuff is... is that it's not necessarily in
the same spot on any two coaches. That being said, here's where
things are on mine. I've got a ZF trans, and my breakers are behind a
panel underneath those buttons. (By the left leg when you are in the
drivers seat.) The intercom phone might be attached to the side of
the panel too.

Then there are bosch relays. These are still giving me heck. I found
7 WAY in the back underneath my lower instrument panel (the one with
the speedo). I also have some in the access panel behind the front
grill on the driver's side. I also recently discovered that some
"missing" relays are (in my coach) wired on a circuit board (also
behind same grill access panel). There are two silver boxes with lots
of wires going into them. If you open one up and peer inside, you can
see the relays on the circuit board. These are giving me trouble as
we speak, and BB says PMMI must have made them, but that's about all
they can tell me. (And that's a problem, because some are failing and
need to be replaced.) I haven't talked to anyone else that has these
relays on a circuit board, but if you're missing some and can't find
them, you might be "lucky" also and have them on a circuit board.
(excuse the sarcasm.)

Feel free to email me if you have any questions I might be able to
answer (I don't always see all the posts on here.)

The FC have 3 banks of circuit breakers. The one you are looking for is
horizontal and covered with "stuff". It's behind the two vertical assemblies to
the right of the steering column facing the front of the coach, swing panel open
of course.

Still searching for the elusive fuse panel. Undid the carpeted panel
under the ZF shifter. The only items in that area are the ZF box and
assocaited wiring. Checked above the bed. Nothing. Not behind the grill
on the driver's side. I am wondering if they might have hidden it
behind the upholstered panel under the dash in front of the co pilot??
I cannot understand how something so important would be hidden?? Or I
just need a new set of eyes.

Mike:

Thanks for the reply. I found the breakers (not fuses). The 87 to 89's
are different. They were behind the carpeted panel under the shifter.
Still looking for my ground problem.

Bruce, I'm not sure which Bird you have, but I have a fuse panel in the battery
compartment on the back wall. Not sure how many fuses, but if memory serves me
they are the fuses that go to the rear lights.
